Malaria Diagnosis

Malaria is parasitic disease caused by four species Plasmodium namely P. falciparum, P. vivax, P. ovale & P. malariae spread by vector female Anopheles mosquitoes. pLDH (Plasmodium Lactate Dehydrogenase) and HRP2 (Histidine Rich Protein 2) are the important markers for diagnosis of Malaria infections. pLDH can be used for diagnosis for above mentioned four species and HRP2 is used for Malaria infections caused by P. falciparum. pLDH and HRP2 both are used as antigen based diagnosis of Malaria infections and we use antibodies against these markers in our products for detecting these antigens in Human whole Blood.
